Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 70 female that a thyroid disorder took me down 15 years ago. I now have a fib, chf, pacemaker that was to correct chf and didn t and copd. All this has taken me down and Dr not helping situation. Now about 1 yr ago I started dealing with my skin flaking off like dandruff, rinkling up like a dryed up prune. Now I am having to deal with utI. The Dr gave me medicine for 5 days for utI. I was told no utI and then 3 days later they called to say I did have utI and only 5 days of Meds. My question is why is my skin flaking off this bad, even with putting lotion on 2 times a day. I am so weak and pain with the utI. I think I am badly dehydrated. I drink 12 16 oz glasses of water and 2 8 oz pedilyte every day. Drinking all this makes my chf worse. What do I do to get Dr to do something or is there something else I should do. What a be Dr but no one is taking new patients. HELP l know I am on limited time with the copd but all other problems are not part of that.
* As per my clinical experience, scalp dryness relate with deficiency of skin nourishment as protein, vitamins, minerals as zinc, magnesium or else.
* Balanced nutritious diet, an oral supplement of multivitamin and control of any bacterial, fungal infection of the scalp will help to sooth the issue.
