Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Firstly you have to control your diabetes which can also be one reason of polyuria(frequent urination)...take homeopathic medicine syzygium jambolanum tincture 30-40drops in 1/2 cup water daily at night with your insulin dependent inj. Have a regular check on your daily insulin level and monthly serum insulin- fbs and ppbs level. There's usually no need to see your GP if you have a mild cough for a week or two and take 3 tbsp stodal cough syrup thrice daily for a week or 2. However, you should seek medical advice if:

You've had a cough for more than three weeks. Your cough is particularly severe or is getting worse. You cough up blood or experience shortness of breath, breathing difficulties or chest pain. You have any other worrying symptoms, such as unexplained weight loss, a persistent change in your voice, or lumps or swellings in your neck.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
