What Causes Dry Itchy Skin Along With Lightheadedness?

I m a 22 years old male who been bite by a insect in my face and about 1 month all this different stuff been happening to me. Like 3 days after the bite I was feeling tired and weak also my skin was dry and itchy. Then a week later I was waking up feeling lightheaded and my version is a little different. Now sometime I be feeling little Sharpe pain in my stomach also my joints and muscles be hurting. I also have a boil around my groin area. What really makes it weird is that I m not sexaul active but I have been with a female partner for 4 years. Can you please tell me what s wrong with me?

Hello,

I can understand your concern for dry itchy skin along with lightheadedness. After analysis of your query it appears that you have developed insect bite hypersensitivity and the related systemic features of pain abdomen and lightheadedness could be just incidental.

Feeling of feeling tired and weak can be just due to generalized weakness or stress but dry and itchy skin could be simply due to insect bite.

In my patients I suggest them to apply steroid creams of mild potency for the early resolution of the lesions. I also suggest taking oral anti histamine like loratadine or levocetrizine under medial advice.

For pain and lightheadedness, pain and irritation then you can take a tablet paracetamol or diclofenac.

Do not rub or rub the skin as it can lead to further aggravation. In spite of above measures if the problem is not getting improved then it is better to consult a dermatologist for best guidance.
