Hi,

Jalra M 50/5000 contains both metformin and vildagliptin that is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and in the prevention of diabetes associated complications like blindness, kidney damage, peripheral neuropathy etc. It may cause giddiness, diarrhea, acidity etc.

Other side effects of this medication are low blood glucose levels or hypoglycemia, headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, sweating, dryness of mouth, abdominal pain, GIT upset, changes in the taste, belching and heartburn, weakness, sleepiness and many more. Usually these side effects are mild and go away over time without any medical treatment. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor immediately for medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Jalra M is a combination of 2 drugs. If you are having problems with this and i suppose you must be taking Metformin earlier then you can ask your doctor to replace gliptin with Gliclazide to ease symptoms if severe. You could also take Pantoprazole to ease symptoms and get a stool routine done to rule out infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
