What Causes Dizziness And Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

Hi, I am Bianca I have 18 years old, 162 cm and 43 kg. I had unprotected sex 9 days ago. My boyfriend ejaculated in me. After 20 minutes I took an emergency contraceptive called Postini - 2. The first pill I had a 25 minutes of contact. The second I got it fixed after 12 hours. Yesterday (the 8th day of contact) I bled very little. Today I continued to bleed but more abundant than yesterday. Another issue that concerns me, is that since five days have I have dizziness. I want to know if they can be side effects of contraceptives or symptoms of pregnancy. Thank you!!

Hi,

When you have taken emergency contraceptive there would not be any chance of pregnancy. The dizziness you had was a sort of intolerance / reaction of the hormones in contraceptive. The bleeding you had on 8th day of pills was withdrawal of the hormones from your body. Your normal periods would be delayed by 8 days.
