What Causes Dizziness And Severe Back Pain While Standing?
Whenever I stand up or lean over my head literally feels like it s going to explode. I don t get dizzy. It s just excruciating pain. It also hurts when I cough, which I have a cough now. It hurts mostly in the back but the is pain pretty much everywhere.
Exploding headache, particularly on standing or tilting the head, on coughing can be due to hypertension, sinusitis, intra-cranial blood vessel malformation, tumors, or cervical spine problem with blood vessel problems. Hence, the need is proper clinical evaluation, examination of ENT, neurology. Investigations as per the suspected cause to get a proper diagnosis and thus have a specific management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
