What Causes Dizziness And Fatigue Along With Nausea?

My husband is 58 years old and the last few days he's been having these little spells of dizziness and fatigue and nausea. He also gets very pale. He has previously been on high blood med. and was taken off it because he had lost some weight. I'm not sure what to do.

Thanks for contacting with your health concern and If I was your treating physician, would have adopted following symptom wise approach:

i. Since he is/was a hypertensive patient, it may be due to excess dose or postural hypotension, if that is the case put the patient to bedrest, stop the drug for a day, then adjust the dose or use a different drug.

ii. If symptoms are severe or associated with any neurological sign, consult a Neurologist.

iii. Check with his blood pressure, neck movements and look for pallor & murmur [Cardiologist opinion], and ask for cochlear symptoms [deafness & tinnitus] & vestibular symptoms [vertigo & nystagmus]

iv. If the symptoms are not promptly controlled, ask for Hb%, X-ray cervical spine [AP & Lateral], ENT & Ophthalmic checkup, till then:

- bed rest, avoid movements if symptoms are severe.
- tablet cinnarzine 25 mg [thrice daily] till symptoms are controlled.
- capsules B complex: twice daily.

PS. check baseline investigations like serum electrolytes, thyroid, and cholesterol profile and blood sugar level
