What Causes Discomfort In The Throat And Chest After Quitting Smoking?

i quit smoking cold turkey almost 70 days ago and i smoked for 12 yrs m still having throat problem and rashes some time after i quit my chest tightness and heart palpatation gone totally how soon i can getrid grom my throat feels like inflame or phlegm

Hello,
This is your body trying to recover. When you smoke you paralyze all the cilia in your airway and damage the mucous producing cells. It takes 6-8 months for these tissues to recover. However, since you were a smoker you should see your doctor just to make sure the chest tightness and palpitations have to do with your lungs and not your heart
