ENT Specialist 's  Response
Mr Abhishek, Ear drum surgeries are performed to stop the ill effects due to chronic infections. Repeated ear discharge will affest surrounding areas as well brain and meninges. so that you might have been operated for your right ear 5 years ago. Replaced drum will not act like normal drum, its function is stopping the discharge thereby disease worsening.
Your other ear needs evaluation for wax removal, Audiometry test and impedence test to assess the ET function/ ME capacity.
Do not worry no body touches the other ear unless it become life threatening. Meet the ENT specialist for evaluation.
Take care
