What Causes Discoloration Of Hair Along The Hairline On Forehead?

I just found out a blonde (not white or grey) patch of hair in the front of my head at the hairline could be piebaldism. At 30 years old my forehead area around the patch of hair spontaneously lost pigment. I read that piebaldism doesn't spread or change, so I'm really confused as to what this is. Also, the fact that my blonde spot it not extremely light also seems to be not the norm. Any ideas? Would uvb laser work in this case?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have discoloration of hair along the hairline on forehead . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to infection in scalp or inflammtion of scalp like seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp , which can cause post inflammatory hypo pigmentation . I would suggest you to wash your hair with 2% ketoconazole shampoo, thrice weekly and consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis an treatment . Doctor will examine physically or take skin sample . Doctor may prescribe antifungal drugs along with anti inflammatory .
