What Causes Difficulty In Breathing Deeply And Excessive Yawning?

For 3 weeks I have been unable to take a deep breath and have been yawning excessively after a very heated argument with my sister. Afterwards, I had trouble breathing for awhile & since then, trying to take a deep breath is difficult, although there is no chest pain. My INR the day of the argument was 1.4 due to a tooth extraction that week -- my INR about two weeks ago was 3.9 & then this last Friday was also 3.9 after skipping two doses. I have a doctor s appt. this PM; don t know if I should mention these symptoms -- usually they are dismissed as anxiety, so I refrain from mentioning them. But I have never had trouble with deep breathing before this -- Thank you

Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to hyperventilation syndrome triggered by anxiety and may come back to normal once you balance your anxiety treatment after a psychiatrist review.

You didn't mention the reason you are using blood thinners and for prolonged INR as in some cases pulmonary embolism etc also needs to be ruled out if any such supporting history is present.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
