I am taking Cymbaita (Duloxetine HCL). Since taking it I have had huge problems with my stomach and intestines: Diarrhea and cramping. I was prescribed this medicine after having to give up Lyrica due to weight gain and dizziness. I have much nerve damage due to a 20 hour operation on my back 4 years ago, for which the pain continues to increase. Both drugs were prescribed for me due to unbearable pain. I will NOT take opiads, as I was made to stay on them for a year after the surgery and most of my memory during that time is lost. When I read the uses of Cymbaita it seems mainly to be prescribed for depression NOT pain. That is my question. Is Cymbaita for pain, and if not, why would I be prescribed this drug?
