What Causes Diarrhea And No Periods After Protected Intercourse?

I m 34 years old, generally healthy, have hypothyroidism which I am taking synthroyd for (for a few years now). My period is late, and I feel really bloated and have diarrhea for the past week. I had a 40 day cycle a few months ago, and typically have a 30-33 day cycle, I m currently on day 36 and no period. so I m not sure if it has something to do with my medication, if it s age and I m going thru early peri menopause, or pregnancy. I had protected intercourse a couple of weeks ago....any ideas?

If you had a protected intercourse, then its highly unlikely that you are pregnant. Generally the rates of failure is less than 1% in many modes of contraception.
If your largest menstsual cycle is around 40 days, you need not worry at day 36. You can wait for around a week still for periods.
Synthroid (levothyroxine) can also cause menstrual abnormalities, but if it hasn't caused in the last 2 years, then its highly likely that your delay might be natural rather than drug induced.
Early peri menopause is also highly unlikely given that you don't seem to have any other signs. I would advice to wait for few more cycles to assess this.
Hope the above advice helps you. Thanks.
