What Causes Depression And Anxiety After Taking Norethindrone And Progesterone?

Hi, My wife has recently started Norethindrone a progesterone only birth control pill. She has over the last week became more irritable, aggitated, depressed and anxious. She is also unforunately not sleeping well at night if at all. Should i speak with her ob/gyn to discontinue or change her medication

Progestrone only pills cause hormonal disturbances and thus mood changes.
Kindly consult the gynaecologist regarding change of progesterone only oral contraceptive pills to combined oral pills which have shown lesser side effects of depression.
