What Causes Delayed Periods Post Withdrawal From Depot Shot?

Trying to see when is a good time to test pregnancy, I should have had a period by the 7th of this month but it s now the 17th still negative and I just came off of the depot shot last month. Went to the doctor they said no blood in my urine no blood in sign uterus is closed, and very hard, all they could say was wait and test again in two more weeks could something be wrong

Hello dear,
Understand your concern.
You can do urinary pregnancy test by kit method 7-10 days after your normal period date.
But my advice is to do blood HCG level as it is very specific.
It is positive 7 days after ovulation (7 days after mid cycle day)

Following are side effects of depot shot:
1. Doesn’t protect against STIs
2.weight gain, tiredness, and possibly a decrease in bone density
3.very irregular menstrual bleeding or spotting.
So i think it is may be side effects of depo shot.

SO I think it may be side effect of Depot shot.
If not resolved

consult with gynecologist and do USG and full hormoone profile like LH, FSH, estrogen, progesterone, thyroid profiele.
