What Causes Delayed Periods Post Intake Of Unwanted-72?
I have taken unwanted 72 after the 24 hours of sex and my periods on 6th Feb and my periods was missing till now. And my pregnancy test was negative. I have 2 times.. Plz tell me the region. Why my periods are so delay... I m worried about ..

Delay in periods is a common side-effect after intake of an emergency contraceptive pill like Unwanted 72. The delayed periods are due to effect of high dose of levonorgestrel hormone in Unwanted 72 pill which disrupts your normal menstruation & causes delayed periods. Your periods may be delayed for 1-2 cycles.
As you had taken the emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hours of sexual intercourse, pregnancy possibility should be very less. you have also undergone 2 pregnancy tests as well, therefore you are not pregnant for sure & your periods are delayed only.
An emergency contraceptive should not be used as regular method of contraception. Regular intake of emergency contraceptive pill could cause irregular & delayed periods, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome & other harmful effects including infertility. Next time use regular contraceptive pill or condoms for prevention of unwanted pregnancy.
Refer to a gynaecologist if problem persist for more than 2 cycles
