What Causes Delayed Period, Constipation And Abdominal Pain While HPT Is Negative?

I have been late on my period for probably 3 or 4 days now. I took a pregnancy test since that was the first thing that came to my mind. It came out negative. I ve also been constipated for 5 days now. About 2 months ago I drank an emergency contraceptive pill and I had my menstuation that month just a few days more than usual with a lot more blood. A week ago I had terrible pain in my lower abdomen to a point where I had to lie down. The pain was in weird patterns and not consistant for 2 days and then it stopped. Can I still be pregnant after a negative pregnancy test or can something else cause this?

Hello!
I will only give a short answer on this as you answered your own question.

"About 2 months ago I drank an emergency contraceptive pill and I had my menstuation that month just a few days more than usual with a lot more blood."
- That could easily throw off your system like a Nuclear Reactor...Not to mention, it is not healthy AT ALL to do something like that.
If you are not on birth control, you should be on a period regulating drug for awhile to get you on track.

You can always be "pregnant" even if a test says "no" - You are taking the test FAR too early....Some women can be 10 days late with the same symptoms.
However, I was just explaining this type of symptom to someone else.

I will copy and paste from a medical journal this time as it fits your profile better -

"If you are a healthy woman who has always been regular, a late period can be a symptom of early pregnancy. You may have a negative pregnancy test, but you could still be pregnant. There is always the chance that you took the test too early – the home pregnancy test that you bought has low sensitivity, and it cannot pick up the traces of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine. (hCG is the hormone produced by the placenta during implantation, and it only occurs during pregnancy.) You will need to wait an additional week, and if your period is still late, take another pregnancy test."

-Okay, back to me.
So, I think you should wait a few more days, followup on the article I just passed you, and then check it again. Remember, you can always see a doctor to get a real, full, 100% result.
If you are bleeding off and on, I would reccomend seeing your Doc as soon as you can for various reasons!

Good luck!
