Hi,

Menstrual cycles with the length of 21 to 35 days can be considered as normal. Menstrual irregularity can be seen due to many causes like psychological stress and strain, changes in weight, diet, sleep, etc. which can affect the reproductive hormonal levels. Thyroid hormonal imbalance, prolactin level fluctuation can also affect menstrual cycles.

In your case, the pain and stress and strain due to the toothache may be more responsible to delayed periods than the medicines used by you. As pregnancy test kit gave negative result, the possibility of pregnancy is less.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
