What Causes Delay In Period Despite Using Progesterone Cream?

I am a 42 yr. old woman and have been told that I am perimenopausal. I have been using a progesterone cream for months which helped with hot flashes and I started getting a period again, except for the month of November. I have breast tenderness and a vaginal odor that will not go away. What could be the issue and what can I do?

Is it a Progesterone cream or PREMARIN cream ? It is premarin, which is a oestrogen cream which is helpful in perimenopausal state. The vaginal odor u get is perhaps due to vaginal discharge, which needs to be evaluated. Kindly get a vaginal smear done, and appropriate treatment started. Hope u are NOT a diabetic, please get screening done. Breast tenderness is a side effect of the oestrogen cream used.
