What Causes Delay In Menstruation Other Than Pregnancy?

Hi..i had sex wid my bf after my periods and took ipill after 48 hrs...got my periods again in the same month and now for this month i didnt get my periods ..not even the signs of it..m tensed..is it some health problem coz i m sure there cud b no pregnency..

Hi,
I understand your concern.
- I pill taken 48 hours after unprotected sex, prevents pregnancy.
- Menses can delay due to many causes other than pregnancy . They are- severe anemia, following illness, psychological stress, taking hormonal contraceptives, thyroid problems, ovarian problems, PCOD etc.
- In your case, mostly it's due to the Ipill you had taken. I pill has a high hormonal dose. After taking it , the withdrawal bleeding is within a week,. This is followed by hormonal disturbance in coming menses- it is also delayed by about 8 days.
