What Causes Delay In Menstrual Bleeding?

I have had my last period since November, I already have the issue of irregular cycle and sometimes I may bleed continuously for two months I ve been to gynaecologist many times but to no avail and now I ve been having a reddish brown threadlike discharge which is not soluble in water and when twisted between my fingers it has no blood in it but the color is reddish brown

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. From the description of the symptoms you have given, it appears that you are experiencing metropathic cycles. Moreover, the discharge you are having is likely to be a membranous cast; a histopathological examination will help to clarify. I would ask you to go for a complete hormone assay, a trans-vaginal sonogram, blood counts, urinalysis and exclusion of general infections. Local causes like an erosion of the cervix, infections of the cervix and vagina, polyps of the cervix and the endometrium also should be checked. An endometrial biopsy is useful.Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
