General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Bruising may occur due to minor blunt trauma to the elbow. These bruises will reduce in a few days. Any history of fever, joint pain or bleeding from any part of the body should be ruled out. In case of fever complete counts, bleeding, time clotting time and Prothrombin time should be taken to rule out any bleeding disorders.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
