What Causes Dark Brown Vaginal Discharge With Mucus?

I WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH CHLAMYDIA, BUT BEFORE I FOUND OUT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND HAD UNPROTECTED SEX & cAME In me, BUT NOW IM HAVING A DARK BROWN AND lIGHT bLOOD SPOTTING kINDA a pINKISH cLEAR mUCUSY SPOTTING. IM WONDERING IF THE DISCARGE FROM THE CHLAMYDIA TREATMENT OR IF I MIGHT BE PREGNANT Cause ITS TOO EARLY TO START MY PERIOD.

Thanks for posting your query. In the current scenario, the most likely cause for the spotting is the infection of the vagina. However, since you also had unprotected sexual intercourse perhaps during your fertile or ovulation period, please go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres if you wish to have an earlier and better clarification since urine pregnancy tests read well 3-7 days after a missed period. Avoid any further intercourse until further management can be planned and executed. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Hope this helps.
