What Causes Cough And Breathing Difficulty During Pregnancy?

Hello, I am 31 weeks pregnant with no history of asthma or allergies. (26 years old, BP last appt. was 100/60, which is what it usually was before I got pregnant.) For the past few weeks I have been waking up in the middle of the night or in the morning with a tight, dry cold feeling in the back of my throat like I used to get if I was playing basketball and need to take a breather. No trouble breathing, just that sensation. Now it is showing up throughout the day and I am having random coughing fits-- one woke me up from a nap this afternoon. The cough is starting to get kind of rattly, but it is unproductive and I don t have any cold or flu symptoms, thank G-d. I know difficulty catching one s breath is a common pregnancy thing, but does it sound like my symptoms are part of that?
