What Causes Continuous Blinking Of Eyes And Twitching Of Mouth?

My father has continuos eye blinking which causes his mouth to twitch a little bit to the sides. I was reading on net that the medical name for the same is Blepharospasm. But is it dangerous? Can it cause paralysis. Should we continuosly keep visiting the Doctor? He is currently using Homeopathic Medicines as the specialits only suggested some injection on regular basis.
