What Causes Constipation And Abdominal Bloating?

Hi, my name is Felecia M. Johnson and I am 49, turning 50 next year. Effective late August I started on a weight loss regimen eating a lot healthier and noticed that I was having trapped gas and fewer BM. I went to the doctor last week and mentioned this to him and he stated he would schedule me for a colonoscopy next year. I exercise 30 minutes on my treadmill 5-6 days a week, low salt, high protein with fruits and vegetables. I drink four to five bottles of 16.9 ounces of water. I have seen the weight loss, but I am constipated and I have trapped gas. What are your thoughts?

Hi
Thanks for trusting HealthCare magic for your health problems.

I have gone through your discription. All other diet plan and exercise is good except intake of water. You told about 17 ounce (500 ml) daily intake of water, instead you have to take 120 to 140 ounce (3.5-4 liter) water daily. It will have beneficial effects in your constipation problem.
