What Causes Constipation After A Fall?

I took a bad fall 5 days ago.I have been having much pain and back spasms.Luckily I have pain medication and muscle relaxants as a result of previous herniated discs.I seem to be gradually recovering. However I have not had a bowel movement since the fall.I've taken 2 ex-lax last night and 2 more this morning.

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

This could be due to decreased bowel movement due to fall or electrolytes imbalance. I would suggest you to visit hospital for Per-rectal examination, Xray abdomen & serum electrolytes to rule out the exact cause so that treatment can be started accordingly.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
