General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A common reason for leg pains in the elderly is osteoarthritis which is the most common arthritis with age. It generally causes pain but no swelling and no redness in the joints.

You may use ibuprofen and paracetamol to help with the pain. If you are overweight you will need to lose some weight and also physiotherapy is recommended to improve your functionality.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
