What Causes Constant Pain In The Back, Neck And Ankles?

I am in constant pain ,back, neck, ankles. I have tried diffent ways to cope with this pain and nothing seems to work but pain killers. Question is how do I keep from getting addicted to them if I take them for a long period of time? By the way I am 72 years old.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
i have seen the details. Since pain is almost continuously present, so you are forced to use most of the pain killers. Drugs like Ibuprofen, diclofenac, paracetamol (acetaminophen) usually do not lead to addiction. But they do have some side effects associated with stomach and on long term use with kidneys. Drugs like narcotic analgesics do lead to addiction. So you can use usual painkillers as when needed.
There are other methods which have helped in controlling pain for example Acupuncture. If wish you may try that, which is method without using any drugs. Thanks.
