General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain looks to be a neuropathic one that is caused by a pinched nerve. A nerve go all way through the hand hence the pain may be felt all through the arm.

Generally, it does not respond well to the painkiller. We generally recommend physiotherapy and certain drugs like gabapentin for the pain. But first, it needs to be confirmed by proper assessment and evaluation. You can see your doctor who would advise further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
