Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a pain under my arm pit close to my chest muscle. Only on the right side. No swelling or lumps just pain when I move my arm in a downward motion with any speed other than casual. No fever, or symptoms of sickness. Just a burning sort of pain when I flex the pectoral muscle. I tried symptom tracker and all I seen was cancer results. I m not thinking its cancer as other symptoms would be present. Just wanted to confirm. I believe it s a muscular inflammatory issue rather than a lymph node swelling issue
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have constant pain in armpit. well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like infection, then, arthritis of the shoulder joint , tumor in the axilla, the armpit region or muscle spasm .
The symptoms can also occur due to lymph node infection .You may need to investigate in form of complete blood count, ESR, CRP, tuberculin test, and Fine needle aspiration cytology. There could be possibility of infection like Tuberculosis or sarcoidosis.
So I will advise you to consult a general practitioner for proper investigation and treatment . For now apply warm compresses to armpits and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
