What Causes Constant Heartburn After Alcohol Consumption?

Hi, I ve had constant heartburn for 3 days now after having a night of drinking. I also ate rather spicy Food the next day after drinking. Unsure whether to go to my gp, I ve take 2 different types of heartburn relief tablets the last 2 days and nothing has worked, every time I drink or eat it burns my throat as well like there is a lump there that burns.
