What Causes Constant Headaches, Nausea And Neck Pain?

I have constantly headaches, some are moderate, and others become really severe. Both also cause me the feeling of nausea, but haven t actually vomit. my neck hurts at times, and i have runny nose even though is hard for me to get sick. I m really athletic and whenever I finish with any kind of sport activity the headaches are stronger. I had an accident when I was 11 year old, a basketball hit me in the eye which cause me to vomit and made my blood pressure really low, the same day they had too insert glucose into my system in order for me to wake up, feel and look better because as many told me I looked pale. So I wanted to know if this accident could of cause this or is it just something else?

Hi,

When we speak of a headache, we say that it exists:

1) Primary Headaches and

2) Secondary Headaches.

When we talk about Primary Headaches we have a tension headache, migraine headache, cluster headache mainly.

When we speak of Secondary Headaches, it means that the headache is the product of some other disorder, illness, previous trauma. Regarding your first question:

What causes a headache, nausea and neck pain? I could answer you, any of the mentioned headaches (taking into account the headache as a diagnosis and not just a symptom) To answer your next question: is the accident the cause of this?

The answer could be yes, just as the answer may be no. The odds are there.

I suggest that due to your background, you should attend an appointment with a neurologist, because, in order to have peace of mind and a clear diagnosis, you should have a good physical assessment and perhaps other studies that the neurologist requests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
