What Causes Cold Spot On The Hand And Spine?

My daughter and I were out in 95 degree weather. While waiting for a bus she got a cold spot about a hand with up from the base of the spine. She gets these spots in various locations. This is the first time I felt the area. It literally feels as if an ice pack had been placed there for 5 to 10 min. She says that it will get so cold it hurts and then eventually fades.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be a blister due to allergic or infective cause and should be evaluated, by a dermatologist. If approaching a dermatologist is difficult, sharing the picture on this forum, in queries directed to a dermatologist will help.

Meanwhile, if blisters show any signs of ooze or discharge may need topical anti-inflammatory steroids and antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
