What Causes Chronic Cough Despite Taking Steroid And Acidophilus?

I have had a chronic cough for 3 weeks. My GP put me on a steroid for 10 days. It helped some. My chiropractor told me to take acidophilus to build my immune system. He said it was a virus. It s somewhat better, but I cough constantly, and it keeps me up at night. At what point should I be checked for pneumonia?

Hello,

There are cough and fever and breathlessness is present in pneumonia. You should go for the chest x-ray posterior-anterior view and also antibiotics therapy.
