What Causes Choking Feeling With Sharp Pain Between Shoulder Blade And Spine?

Hi, the past 2 nights I have had problems with my breathing when laying flat on back, I feel like I am chocking even with a pillow under my neck. And last night I had a very sharp burning pain on my left side between my left shoulder blade and middle of my back or to the spine When I take a deep breath it makes my chest hurt a little. Almost feels like I might have pnemonia maybe

Hello,

I think you should get further evaluated doing an endoscopy because GERD , reflux, may be the cause of burning sensation, chest pain and apnea. Also you should do the x-ray to check for pneumonia.
