Hello and welcome to HCM, The symptoms mentioned by you are suggestive of lower respiratory tract infection / inflammation. Viral infection is common in infants less than 1 year of age. The infection is self limiting and requires supportive therapy. Difficulty in breathing should clear away within few days of treatment. I suggest you to consult your paediatrician for clinical assessment and prescription of medication. Difficulty in swallowing can be due to the infection however, clinical assessment is required. Passage of sticky stools can occur in malabsorption. Thus, clinical assessment of the gastrointestinal tract is necessary along with examination of the stools.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
