81 year old father started having difficulty swallowing food or drink without choking 1 week ago. Tests indicate that he aspirates when he swallows. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sudden onset of difficulty in swallowing is molality from brain problems like stroke or other brain disorders .This is also suggested by the drooping of mouth .So, I would suggest you should consult a Neurologist for assessment. He may need an MRI of the brain.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
