What Causes Chills And Recurrent Fever In Children?

Hi there - my daughter (12 year old, but early maturer) has had a fever for 3 days - 102.6 the first day, 102.4 the second day, now 100. We took her to our primary care yesterday and he checked for ear infection, throat infection and abdomen and determined no infection- - speculated its a virus. We seem to be able to get the fever under control - she rested all day, but now she s displaying the same symptoms - violent chills and an elevating fever. I just gave her more pain reliever - yesterday she mentioned some neck pain, today the pain is on one side of her groin - maybe lymph trying to fight an infection?
