What Causes Chills And High Fever?

i have a 4 year old he was fine playing out side our weather here is 86 degrees out of nowhere he gets cold chills starts shivering all over running a temperature of 103.2. Took tylenol seemed to feel better for a short time then a few hours later his back started hurting and said his stomach was also then threw up and started running a temp again of 102.1????

He likely has a viral illness, this is the most common cause of these symptoms, though bacterial infections can also occur as well.

Infections can present suddenly in children. They may appear well prior to the sudden onset of symptoms.
Tylenol would help with the fever and pain, he may need it to be given at the regular allowed intervals for 24 to 48 hours.

It is possible since he has vomiting, that diarrhea may start at some point.

You would need to replace the fluids that he is losing but would need to do this in small amounts.
