What Causes Chills And Frequent Urination?

Hello Doctor, Been having chills for the last 3 days that come and go primarily at night when sleeping. Have frequent urge to urinate but very little urine comes out. Had bloody urine two days ago but that has stopped. And , have had bloating where I can eat much less than I normally do at meals. Get full very rapidly after a few mouthfulls with little appetite. And lower back pains. I have in years prior kidney stones that passed, but not sure if this is the same symptoms. Additionally my energy levels are lower than normal . On the day of dark urine practically no energy at all. Thanks in advance for you knowledge.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In light of your previous history of renal stones, and now having fever with chills ,this may be because of urinary tract infection, which is common in people with stones. I would advise you should get your urine examination done to see for infection. I would also advise to get an ultrasound done if urine is coming less as sometimes it can cause blockage to the urine. Till that I would advise you should take a lot of fluids, and use paracetamol for the fever.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
