What Causes Chest Pressure And Dizziness Despite Having Suffered From Pneumonia And Sepsis?

My husband had pneumonia and sepsis in early April. He was on one round of antibiotics, then had an xray. Still fluid and infection in left lung so went on another 10 days of antibiotic. Now about 10 days after the last dose of meds he still has a pressure in his chest and light headed, dizzy. Would this still be associated to the lungs?

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

As he had pneumonia and sepsis, less than a month ago, it's common for him to have easy fatigability and dizziness. As you had another round of antibiotics, I would suggest to go with a chest X-ray, sputum examination if present, ESR, and CRP. With the above investigations, we will come to know his lung condition and then we can think of any other possibilities.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
