What Causes Chest Discomfort, shortness Of Breath And Arm Numbness After A Walk?

Yes, I just had a brisk walk (approximately 1/2 mile) with my dog. I had some chest discomfort and a little shortness of breath. Now that I am resting the chest discomfort is gone but my left arm feels numb/pins and needles sensation. I am scheduled for a nulear stress test next week as this is not an uncommon occurrance, except I usullay do not have the arm numbness. Is this something to be concerned about since the chest discomfort and shortness of breath quit as soon as I started resting/sitting?

Hi welcome to HCM
As you mentioned, chest pain and shortness of breath which gets precipitated by exertion and relieved with rest suggests some cardiac or lung pathology.
And numbness or parasthesia extending to left inner arm is also a feature of cardiac illness.
So you proceed with cardiac evaluation.
Best of luck
Thank you
