What Causes Chest Congestion With Breathing Difficulties And Black Phlegm?
My father is suffering from chest congestion for the last 1 week or so, and is having difficulty in breathing as he is an asthamatic. Initially the phlegm spit out was blackish in colour but now, it is of the normal colour. He is unable to sleep in the night properly

go to investigation of sputum - gram staining bacterial culture sensitivity , and fungal staining and total serum IgE , you will get your answer. other thing take proper inhaler for asthma if it is not controlled then it may turn into ABPA.
