What Causes Charley Horses From Hips To Feet Along With Flu Symptoms?

Charley horses in both shins, ankles, heels and arches. Sometimes the cramping goes from hip to toes. I have not been feeling well. About every 10 to 14 days since New year, I get flu like symptoms, hot then cold then I throw up then the leg cramps. Only thing the last time which should ve been 2/6, I had some spotting instead of usual. I had hysterectomy 13 years ago. Now it s just leg cramping.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. It is too early to come to a diagnosis but a list of possibilities that may have caused symptoms are thyroid disorders, deficiency of calcium, potassium or magnesium, intake of drugs like diuretics or raloxifen(Evista) multiple sclerosis and anemia. Consult your family physician and tested for thyroid levels, calcium, magnesium and potassium levels, complete blood picture to help with diagnosis and initiate treatment.
Thank you.
