What Causes Burning Sensation While Eating And Breathing?
On Saturday I ate a hot bite of food & felt it burning all the way down to my stomach. I did get a drink of water but by the time I took a drink it had already made its way down. Now, when I eat or even when I take a drink & breathe my chest, from right above my breast to right under them, has a burning feeling. I do smoke so I didn t know if I was have heartburn or if I burnt my esphogas as I was eating.
Hello I share your concern Your food pipe might have injured or burnt due to hot piece of food leading to inflammation of oesophagus and stomach. Another possibility is heart burn may be due to stomach hyperacidity or hiatus hernia
In my opinion you should avoid smoking for a while because smoking can irritate lining of stomach or oesophagus You can take anti acidity medicines like pantoprazole or rabeprazole with syrup sucralfate or antacids Avoid fatty fried and spicy food have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables have plenty of fluids like lemon water and fruit juices.
If it persists or worsens further you should consult a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy and further treatment which your doctor knows Hope this answers your question Please feel free to ask for more assistance I will be happy to help you best wishes
