General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history well about liking over-burnt toast and feeling of burning sensation along with feeling of something stuck in throat.
There are no definite studies about eating burnt foods and its ill effects. Hence not possible to comment on this.
But surely human do not eat burnt food for sure.
Feeling of something in throat with irritation can be due to granular pharyngitis, real swelling of any structure in throat hence I would advise you the following:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for endoscopy of throat.
Relevant tests of blood and throat.
Think about GERD as possible cause.
Barium swallow or CT scan will help further.
Once diagnosed well then the treatment is easy and specific.
Stop eating burnt foods please.
Gargle before sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
