What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina Post Monistat Usage?

I have yellow discharge and some itching. I used one application of Monistat 3 and pushed it out after about 5 minutes. It was burning bad. Now I feel what I can only explain as it feels like splinters toward the bottom of my vagina towards the aniss and it burns and it all itches now. What can I do?

Monistat 3 is usually used to treat vaginal fungal infection. But yellow discharge may indicate possibility of bacterial infection. So, better to use combination medicine containing antibacterial and antifungal like Drez v, which contains Clindamycin and Clotrimazole. But better to use any medicine after consulting your doctor only. By clinical examination the exact cause and nature of the discharge can be identified and treated.
You may need systemic antibiotics and analgesics to deal with the condition. Local analgesic like Xylocaine gel can help in relieving the burning till you go to doctor.
