Hi,

The duration of symptoms is missing- I assume that to be acute / recent onset. Burning and frequent micturition is most commonly caused by urinary infection. If I were your treating doctor, after sending urine culture, I will start empirical antibiotic and review when culture report is available. Kindly review with your doctor if symptoms not getting batter after taking paracetamol and plenty of fluids for two days. Gonorrhea is unlikely, as you are monogamous and there is no urethral discharge.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
