What Causes Burning Sensation And Blood In Stool?
HI there . I have a question, a few months back I was driving and had a strong urge to have a bowel movement. I had to pull over and just go in the woods. there was a little blood in it. I went to Dr and they gave me omeprazole and sent me on. I didn t stay taking the meds it was only a sample pk, last week it happened again the strong urge and when I went there was blood. Ive since had blood taken all my levels were normal ive also done stoole samples and all have been normal. the pain I feel is a strong burning sensation and its not all the time, but its around the middle of my abdomen and a little more to the left. after I eat I feel bloated most of the time.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have burning sensation and blood in stool. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like anus, rectal bleeding, Internal Hemorrhoids with or without Fissure ,Which is a very common symptom. As a general rule, bright red blood means that the bleeding has come from the area around the anus. If the blood is darker, it usually means that its origin is a bleed higher up the digestive tract. Bleeding can also be due to following reasons
-Infection of intestines
-Rarely it might be colon cancer
If problem persists, you should visit a Gastroenterologist for examination and treatment .
